After leaving Lilly and Meghan at a river encampment, The Governor rallies his new army and takes Michonne and Hershel hostage. They arrive at the prison with vehicles (including a tank), and The Governor negotiates with Rick, who proposes they peacefully coexist. The Governor refuses and decapitates Hershel with Michonne’s katana, provoking a firefight between the two camps. Lilly arrives carrying Meghan’s corpse; the girl died after being attacked by a walker. The Governor shoots Meghan in the head and orders the tank to run down the fences, allowing walkers to overrun the area. The Governor’s army is eventually annihilated, but the surviving prison inhabitants are scattered. As for Glenn leaving the bus i have some vague recollection about him getting off looking for Judith but i could be wrong.

As for him not knowing about hershel i feel like it was done to eek a little more emotion out of the death of that character, in the break episode where hershel died only Rick was at the fence close by to see the beheading although the others were all at the fence watching and should have seen, but i guess they didn’t.

I don’t think they showed him leaving the bus but it makes sense, he wouldn’t leave Maggie behind just like that. Also, he is a good guy. He would never hurt anyone on purpose. Plus, he is smart. He has more of chance surviving with that chick. Like it proved at the end.

What I don’t get is, Was Glenn asleep for the whole time everything else was happening after everybody left? It had to have been 24 hours. That’s a long time. I guess if you get knocked out pretty good, maybe? Plus, how did he NOT know Hershel was killed? Didn’t that happen like BEFORE the whole shooting thing? Head trauma maybe? And, let’s assume he left the bus to find Maggie… How the hell did he end up up on that bridge thingy? Bad writing or I’m missing something?

Beth and the young girls. I don’t know how they keep Beth around: a useless character and a horrible actress. And now that Hershel is dead, they aren’t going to kill off one more of Maggie’s family members. Wonder though who the BIG KILL OF THE SEASON is going to be this time around. Not looking forward to that, since these kills are done with the maximum emotion they can get from the viewer.

om, yes, the dragging the bodies away is a problem I admit. And I didn’t think of it like that, re Carole. You’re right, covering up for a psychopathic killer would be a terrible thing to do, endangering everyone. On the other hand, the motivation would be love, rather than self protection which would at least make it understandable. But for sure I wouldn’t want to share quarters with a cold blooded killer with nobody warning me – whether it was Lizzie or Carole.

I also liked your and Paladin’s earlier comments regarding the prison and the fact that these are not – and have not been for a long time – the books. And yes, why on earth wouldn’t they go back and get supplies, maybe try to regroup?!

Still enjoyed the episode though. Would like to see Darryl, Carol, Rick, Michonne, Carl, Maggie and Glenn back together again – and would be great to see Carl and Rick’s reaction to baby Judith being alive. Not really fussed about the rest of them – including the ever irritating Beth

I thought this episode was better than the last. Glenn did not have that tough of a time at the prison even though he ran right through the middle of a zombie pack. This bolsters my “why don’t they go back to the prison” thought. Even if they don’t want to go back to that prison, they’re in America. We have no shortage of prisons.

At least Glenn has the lesbian pseudo cop to help him now and we shouldn’t have to worry about her moving in on him.

Lizzie continues to prove herself a psycho by trying to pull a Hawkeye (Alan Alda not Jeremy Renner) with the child. Even still I would have given the gun to her and let the smaller girl hold the baby.

Lizzie also killed the little rabbits for sport and did not even have the courtesy to let everyone eat them.

The actress who plays Lizzie was also on True Detective last night as one of Martin’s daughters (not the varsity slut one).
